National Engineers Week Celebration


National Engineers Week is a time for kids and their adults to embrace and explore the diverse world of engineering! Join Discovery Center to celebrate amazing engineers and inspire the next generation! Activities available all week during museum hours include:

  • Rube Goldberg challenges

  • Cardboard engineering challenges

  • Kinex in the Wallace & Gromit: Get Cracking

  • Magnetic tile wall challenges in The Studio

Plus, Investigation Station Water Propulsion activity at each day at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm in honor of African American Engineer Lonnie Johnson. Lonnie Johnson was an engineer with NASA and the Air Force that helped design air pressure systems we now see inside Nerf and Super Soaker products!
